Mrs. Kille was born on August 3, 1922, to the late Reverend Augustus C. Tippett and Esther Tuck Tippett in Salisbury, NC. She graduated from Lee Edwards High School in Asheville and attended Greensboro College.
In February 1943, Mrs. Kille married James Kenneth Kille who preceded her in death on May 3, 2000.
Mrs. Kille was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church where she served as Administrative Assistant for twenty-two years. She was active in many areas of the church as a member of the Administrative Board, Ruth Circle, United Methodist Women, Chancel Choir, Harvesters, and several bridge groups. She received her first Mission Pin by the United Methodist Women at St. Andrews and a special pin on the 25th Anniversary of UMC. Mrs. Kille was also a former member of the Charlotte Women’s Club.
Survivors include daughters Patricia Murphy (Raymond) of FL and Kerry Kille Lindler (Michael) of Fort Mill, SC; sister-in-law Mary Kille of TX; grandsons LtCol James Robert Lindler USMC (Amy) and Maj Philip Lindler USMCR (Brittney); great grandchildren Alex Clayton Lindler of VA, Christopher Samuel Lindler, Michael Robert Lindler, Elizabeth Jean Lindler of Fort Mill SC, Abigail Shay Lindler, Taylor James Lindler and Ella Brooke Lindler of GA; nieces Miriam Louise Whisnant of Irmo, SC, Beth (Frank) Laurent of WI, Evelyn (Joe) Southards of Cherryville, NC and Carolyn Faircloth (Craig). NC and many generations of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kille was preceded in death by husband James Kenneth Kille, infant son Ronald Crawford Kille, sister Mildred T. Burgess and several nieces and nephews.
A 2pm graveside service is planned for Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Sharon Memorial Park located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte.
