Dottie was a native of Charlotteean and grew up in East Charlotte. She was a Member of First Baptist Church of Charlotte and a lifelong Christian. Her first job was at the Hudson Hosiery Plant, later moving to hairdressing, and finally worked as the Clerk of Superior Court in Mecklenburg County where she retired. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, thus her favorite color being red. She also loved decorating and gardening.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include her daughter Karen K. Pratt and husband David W. Pratt; granddaughter Danielle M. Pratt; grandson Cody W. Pratt and two nephews Jack Helms and Delwyn Ware.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth R. Korinek.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday March 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte.
