Dorothy Turner Peeler

Dorothy attended Lenoir-Rhyne University. She served as the Captain of the Myers Park Country Club Golf Team, and recorded four holes in one throughout her life. She was also a model for the Dental Auxiliary, worked as a Lab Tech at CMC Charlotte, and later volunteered at Novant Presbyterian Hospital gift shop. Dorothy was also a member of the Charity League of Charlotte. Dorothy enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, and was an active member in the church and served as secretary for bible in the schools in Charlotte.

Dorothy always put her faith and family first.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving husband Dr. Lackey B. Peeler, who passed away in 1981. She is survived by her children Vicki (Joe) Baker, Charlotte, NC, Jacki (Steve) Chapman, Charlotte, NC, Jane (Gordon) Haygood, Gastonia, NC, Laura Morrison, Charlotte, NC, and Jonathan Lackey Peeler, South Korea; grandchildren Kimberly (David) Webb, Kristen (Joe) Giordano, Kelley (Eric) Clay, John (Kelley Beth) Haygood, Chris Haygood, Holly Haygood, Stephen Morrison, Michelle Morrison; nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place at Providence United Methodist Church, 2810 Providence Road, Charlotte on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 beginning at 1:00pm. Service will follow at 2:00pm. Interment will be private at Evergreen Cemetery.
