Ed is survived by his loving wife Phyllis; his daughter Helen C. Cole; his son Edward M. Cole, Jr.; his step-children Jim Oliver, Diane Humphries (Todd Persicketti), Cheryl Oliver Privette (HR Privette); his granddaughter Amber Lisbeth Cole; his step grandchildren John (Rachel), Jack, Austin, John Henry, and Chase.
He was preceded in death by his brother Grady Jr. and sister Beverly.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 2 pm at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 1901 Archdale Drive, Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church Building Fund.
