Elizabeth H. Pratt

Elizabeth Holthouser Pratt, age 94, of Charlotte, died May 10, 2012 at the Levine Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC. Mrs. Pratt was born in Iredell County, on September 11, 1917 to the late Grover H. Holthouser and Norma Ham Holthouser. She was a graduate of Mooresville High School, class of 1935, and attended Kings College. She retired from Sears co. after 20 years of service. Mrs. Pratt was a longtime member of Providence Baptist Church and its Martha Iley Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Marcus Dailey Pratt, her sister Eva S. Hutchison, her three brothers Houston W. Holthouser, Ralph H. Holthouser and Manuel C. Holthouser, two nieces Nora Jean Aycoth and Patricia S. Browne, and a nephew Richard C. Holthouser. She is survived by one sister in law Julia H. Richards, many dear nieces and nephews, two beloved great nieces Rebecca T. Law and Kathy A. Gerald and one dearly loved great nephew Melvin C. Aycoth. The Funeral service will be held May 16, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Providence Baptist Church, 4921 Randolph Road Charlotte, NC 28211, in the Gordon Weekley Chapel, Reverend Dr. Al Cadenhead and Reverend Dr. David Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends in the Mission Center following the service. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Carriage House and the Levine Dickson Hospice House for the loving and compassionate care she was given.
