Elizabeth “Betty” Smith, born July 3,1921, died peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on November 21,2012. Preceded in death by spouse, Richard, and two brothers. Formerly of Indian Trail, NC; most recently lived at Regency Retirement Village, Charlotte. She and her husband of 65 years enjoyed traveling the world and had lived in many parts of this country. An avid decorator, gardener and bridge player, she is survived by one brother, four children, Steve (Linda) Smith, Ellen McClure, Rebecca Redman, Marilee (David) Mahler; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She always believed in leaving a place better than she found it.
Memorial service for Betty will be held at 3:30PM on Saturday, November 24th at the Regency Retirement Village, 9120 Willow Ridge Road, Charlotte.
