
Emerson loved his Lord and Savior and his family dearly. Emerson married his high school sweetheart and spent 57 years of marriage together. Emerson is survived by his wife, Myrtle; daughters Renae Lynch and Tracy Easter; grandchildren Victoria, Tripp, Rae, Phillip, Sarah-Ann and Miranda; greatgrandchildren Carson and Nora.
He never bragged about anything and simply liked to help people. His love for electronics started at an early age. He graduated from Devry School of Electronics. He was in television for 57 years. He was a proud member of the American Radio League, the society of Broadcast Engineers, the Charlotte Chapter of Broadcast Engineers. His greatest accomplishment was winning an Emmy Award for his work during the 1976 Winter Olympics. His knowledge and expertise cannot be surpassed. A very special Thank You to his “Pit Crew” Chris, John and Butch.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2016, from 1:00pm to 2:30pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC. A celebration of life will be held at 2:30pm with Reverend Ted Easter officiating. Interment will follow at Crown Memorial Park, 9620 Rodney Street, Pineville, NC.
