Mr. Pigg, age 63, died September 29, 2014. Born November 25, 1950 in Charlotte, he was a son of the late James R. Pigg and Hattie Stegall Pigg. Eric was formerly a mechanic for the Mecklenburg County Emergency Medical Services (MEDIC). Before an auto accident took his vision in 2003, he loved drag racing, repairing cars and traveling.
Mr. Pigg’s memorial service will be private.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Tina; grandchildren, Branson and Madison; brother, Larry; and sister, Carolyn. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pigg was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; brothers, John, Jim, and Ted; and sister, Judy.
