Ether Margot Muse, AKA Jerry Blake Benfield, of Charlotte, passed away August 25th. Born in Taylorsville, NC on June 25, 1954, he was the son of Pauline “Paula” Evelyn Shook and the late Sam McCoy Benfield.
Jerry lived at home for many years and cared for his elderly mother in the home, and his father before death.
Besides his mother Paula, he is survived by 2 sisters; Rebecca Anne Hawn(Neil) of Hudson, NC and Alma Simms(Dewey) of Mt. Holly, NC. He is also survived by his 2 brothers Paul Benfield(Donna) of Gastonia and John Benfield of Charlotte, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may visit Jerry's family on Friday from 2:00-3:00 PM at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC. Interment and graveside service will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Online guestbook and condolences may be offered through www.forestlawnwest.com.
