

Eugene Francis Viola, 58, originally of Morgantown, West Virginia, passed away on July 3, 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was born in Morgantown, West Virginia, on October 8, 1952, a son of the late Rinaldo Viola and Theresa Viola Giles.
He was a devoted, loving spouse, brother, father, uncle, and friend. He worked at Bank of America for 15 years and was an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte. He enjoyed inventing things and was well known for his homemade water bottle rockets.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of 38 years of marriage, and his two children, Allison and Timothy, of Charlotte, North Carolina. He is also survived by 10 siblings: Joseph Gallucci and his wife Connie of Florida; Rinaldo Viola, Jr., of Pennsylvania; Gary Viola and his wife Donna of Georgia; Mark Viola and his wife Barbara of Virginia; Edward Viola of Pennsylvania; Eileen Khan and her husband Subhotosh of Virginia; Louisa Bellotte and her husband Charles of Alaska; James Viola and his wife Patti of Virginia; David Viola and his wife Tammy of Ohio, and Elizabeth Lyons and her husband William of West Virginia; and many extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Marie Viola.
A memorial visitation for friends and family will be held at the Forest Lawn West Funeral Home located at 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208 on Friday, July 8th from 7pm through 9pm.
