Faydell May Creecy

Faydell was born September 24, 1937 in Manila, Arkansas to the late Roland Lowery and Josie Martin Lowery. She married Jessie Creecy, who also preceded her in death, on December 11, 1957. Faydell retired from Fruehauf Trailer after 24 years of service. She enjoyed working in her yard and flower beds. Faydell liked old movies, country music and she loved her knick-knacks.

In addition to her husband, Faydell was also preceded in death by her brothers Buck, Charlie, George; sisters Betty, Barbara, Pearl, Mary; son-in-law Bobby Brooks and granddaughter Jennifer Brooks.

Faydell is survived by her daughter Monica Brooks of NC, sons Rickey Creecy, Wayne Creecy, Steven Creecy (Deborah), Darrell Creecy (Wanda) all of NC; grandchildren Jeffrey Brooks (Catherine) of Monroe, Brandy Creecy, Steven Creecy both of PA; great-grandson Jaxon Brooks of NC; sisters Annie Cullum of MO, Martha Norin of Moline, IL, Ruthie Jones of GA and by brother Henry Lowery (Carolyn) of IL.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 5 in the chapel at McEwen Funeral Service Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd., Charlotte. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery and Memorial Gardens, 1504 W. Sugar Creek Rd., Charlotte. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
