Passed away at the Citadel, Charlotte on Dec. 7th, 2021.
Frances attended Queens College and studied business courses and worked as the church secretary at 1st United Methodist church for many years. she also worked for Belk's Eastland.
Frances was a wonderful homemaker, the best mom and friend to all who met her.
After her niece passed away with MS, and her nephew to Juvenile Diabetes, Frances became a volunteer with the MS Society and JDRF. She was one of their greeters at the finish line, an official hugger you might say.
Frances was a wonderful supporter of all her son's walks and rides for MS and JDRF.
She was also a lover of plants and animals and was somewhat of a green thumb at times.
The family will greet friends on Tuesday, December 20th at a graveside service at Sharon Memorial Park at 2:30 in the afternoon.
Survivors include her son Phil as well as her sister in law Inez Poe and nieces from nephews from Apex, Matthews, NY, and Ca, MN. areas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the "National MS Society, Bike MS150" or "JDRF Walk for the Cure".
