Rev. Frank Cook of Winston Salem, NC, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday October 22, 2014, at Agape Hospice House in Columbia, SC. Frank was born in Eufala, AL, on May 15, 1927, a son of the late Francis Beaury Cook Sr. and Oenone Allen Cook. He served 40 years in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Frank leaves his loving wife of nearly 32 years, Jess Cook, to cherish his memory. Survivors also include his children, Rev. Evelyn C. Middleton (Scott) and Allen Cook (Amy) as well as his two grandchildren Greg Middleton and Sara Middleton. He was preceded in death by Sara Reed Cook.
A service to celebrate the life of Rev. Frank B. Cook will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at McEwen Chapel on Monroe Road. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow the service in Sharon Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse or to United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).
