Frank Homer Moose

Frank Homer Moose, 90, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Bethany Woods Nursing Home in Albemarle, NC. Mr. Moose was born in Iredell County on December 14, 1922 to the late John Moose and Cora Viola Moore Moose. He was a lifelong member of Ranch Road Church of God until his health prevented attendance. Mr. Moose was a truck driver for Hennis Freight and later retired from Spector Freight Lines after over thirty years of service.

The funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, May 18th at Eastway Drive Church of God. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Bishop Dan Carter and Bishop Bobby Dishman will be officiating. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Moose is survived by three daughters, Mary Bibb, of Concord, NC, Lynda Collier and husband Charles, of Mt. Holly, NC, Rachel Whitley and husband Gerald, of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; three sons, Phillip Moose and wife Carmen, of Crockett, VA, David Moose and wife Mary, of Rock Hill, SC, Paul Moose, of Anderson, SC; a son-in-law, Mike Lyon, of Anderson, SC; thirteen grandchildren, Douglas Fairbanks, of Crockett, VA, Darlene Moose, of Wilmington, Michael Lyon and wife Mandy of Moore, SC, Carrie Noble, of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, Christina Collier, of Denver, NC, Julie Rominski and husband David, of Aurora, IL, Chris Lyon, of Anderson, SC, Misty Collier, of Denver, NC, Alison Roberts and husband Matt, of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, Shelly DeAdder and husband Chris, of Durham, NC, Michael Bibb, of Concord, NC, Jason Moose and wife Donna, of Denver, Daniel Moose, of Minneapolis, MN; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Moose was preceded in death by his wife of fifty two years, Margie Luffman Moose; a daughter, Frankie Sue Lyon and a grandson, Greg Moose.
