Son of the late James Booton Patterson and Julia St. John Patterson, Frank was born and raised in his beloved Charlotte. He was a graduate of the 1969 class at South Mecklenburg High School where he played wide receiver. He was an integral part of the football team as they were runner up in the Division 3A state championship during his football years.
Frank appreciated his time listening to the birds outside, riding his bike and was an avid reader who cherished the classic literature he grew to love in school. He was a kind and gentle spirit who will be greatly missed by his family and friends, most particularly his co-workers at the Morrocroft Village Harris Teeter.
Left to mourn his loss are brother Jim (Andrea) and sisters Coley and Ellen (Scott) Groves along with a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 11am at Sharon Memorial Park.
The family is grateful to Frank’s friends at the Morrocroft Village Harris Teeter and welcome all to attend Frank’s service on Tuesday.
