George & Alpha Jones

Alpha & George were members of Shady Brook Baptist Church.

They were the founders and prior owners of Jones Hardware for 42 years. They retired at the age of 85.

They are survived by their only son, Mark Jones and wife, Kim. Along with five grandchildren, Carmen Barnhill and husband Brandon, Jennifer Vaughn and husband Josh, Neal Jones and wife Tess, Brandon Adams and Ashley Jones; and five great grandchildren, Savannah, Morgan & Taylor Barnhill, Garrett Vaughn and Ava Jones.

George was one of eleven children and survived by sisters, Sara Kaylor, Nancy Johnson, Judy Smith, Margaret Parker, Patti Murphy and brother Bill Jones.

Alpha was one of six children and survived by her brother Elbert Craig.

The memorial service will be held at Shady Brook Baptist Church at 2940 Belmeade Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina 28214 on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00am. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00am to 11:00am.
