Gil, 64, of Charlotte, formerly of Essex Junction, Vermont, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at home. He was born May 17, 1950 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Steve and Veronica Mastin.
Gil is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Dawn L. Mastin (Quinlan) of Charlotte; his sisters Janet Mazur of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, and Eileen Bracuti of Charlottesville, VA; his brothers Steve Mastin of Port Monmouth, NJ and Donald Mastin of Hackensack, NJ; and his beloved dogs Hal Jam and Alana.
He attended Dickerson High School in NJ. His careers included autobody, antique toy dealer and most recently a TSA screener. Gil’s lifelong passion was antique automotive toys.
Services will be held at a later date in New Jersey. Donations may be made to the charity of choice.
