Glenn Ray Templin

Glenn Ray Templin, 82, of Belmont, North Carolina, went to be with his Lord and Savior, peacefully at his home on February 16, 2026. Born on September 13, 1943, in Dallas, Texas, Glenn lived a life marked by laughter, service, and love for his family.

A proud veteran, Glenn served in the United States Air Force in intelligence for four years—though he joked with a nurse-that it felt like thirty-six. Glenn worked in the financial industry for many years and retired from Sloan Financial Group LLC in Clover SC. His great sense of humor and easygoing nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met, brightening even the most ordinary days. Though his dementia affected many parts of his memory and daily activities, he maintained his sense of humor.

Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Paul Templin; his mother, Dixie Mae Peck Templin; his brother' Jimmy Wayne Templin; his grandson, Jeffrey Maxwell Hardin and niece, Paula Templin Allen.

Glenn leaves behind his adoring wife of 60 years, Cynthia "Cindy" Brooks Templin; his two dedicated daughters, Laurie Templin Jimenez (Chris) and Casaundra "Cassie" Marie Templin (Todd Santelli). Glenn also left behind his brother, Gary Paul Templin (Jackie); sister-in-law, Brenda Carter Templin; nephew, Bradley Wayne Templin (Traci); and his dearest friends, Gary and Cheryl Lytton who are more family than friends. Glenn was blessed with 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Glenn was a special person who touched the lives of many people with his kindness, loyalty and love that will be missed immensely.

A visitation will be held at Mulberry Baptist Church, located at 6450 Tuckaseegee Rd, Charlotte, NC, on February 28, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A memorial service will follow at the church at 11:00 am. Condolences may be submitted at www.forestlawnwest.com
