Glenn G. Williams Jr., 86, of Charlotte went home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2023. Born January 22, 1937 in Lincoln County, he was the son of Glenn G. and Martha Jane (Potter) Williams Sr. He married the love of his life, Shirley Fox, on December 10, 1954 in Catawba County. They were married for 66 years.
A member of Chapman Memorial Baptist Church, Glenn retired from Leaksville Woolen Mills after 30 plus years of employment.
He enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach, Florida and New York with Shirley. He also enjoyed gardening, NASCAR, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his sons, Greg (Alesa), Jeff (Kim) and Timmy (Alonda) Williams; grandchildren, Jeanna (Chris), Krystal (Chris), Amber (Tim), Amanda (Matt), Randi (Dave) and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Justyn, Ben, Kayli, Lacie, Dylan, Luke, Tanner, Addison, Adalyn, Parker, Kenlee and Christian; sister, Nancy Wenderlein; brothers, James “Jim” and Reggie Williams; numerous nieces and nephews.
Glenn was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
