Gregory David Lewis

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gregory David Lewis, who departed this life on May 29, 2025, at the age of 67. Greg was a beloved friend and a man known for his kindness, humility, and unwavering love for life’s simple joys.

Born on November 19, 1957, to Lionel and Rita Lewis, Greg spent his life between Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina, where he formed lasting friendships and left a quiet but meaningful mark on everyone who knew him.

Greg had a lifelong passion for hockey and all things sports. Whether cheering on his favorite team or talking strategy with friends, his enthusiasm was infectious. He also loved traveling and exploring new places, always eager to learn and experience something new.

A proud graduate of NC State University, Greg went on to have a successful career as an engineer. His dedication and sharp mind were matched only by his gentle spirit and thoughtful nature. He was a calm and loyal presence—a true listener and a faithful friend, always ready with a warm smile or kind word.

A funeral service honoring Greg’s life will be held at McEwen Funeral Service – Pineville Chapel on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 12:00 PM. All who knew and cared for Greg are warmly invited to attend.

Greg’s absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit lives on in the lives he touched and the memories we share.
