

Haden T. McGuire, 88, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus at Levine Dickson Hospice House on July 16, 2016. He was born in Temple Hill, Kentucky on November 10, 1927, son of Hade and Marjorie McGuire. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Clifton. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 61 years, Shirley, his daughter, Ann Parker and her husband Derek, his grandchildren Jennifer Mietla (husband, Daniel), Stephen Parker (wife, Laura Lee), and many friends to cherish his memory.
Haden was a devoted and loving husband and father, and a strong Christian dedicated to serving Jesus Christ. He was a long-time member and Elder Emeritus at Westview Christian Church in Charlotte. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, a proud officer in the U S Air Force, stationed in Tokyo during the Korean War. He was employed by J. I. Case Co. for 14 years and was named the best salesman in North America. He was also the proud owner of Beltone Hearing Aids in Charlotte for 40 years. He was a 32nd degree mason and a member of the Oasis Shrine Temple.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially traveling extensively around the world with them. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 prior to the service. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park on Monroe Road with the Rev. Anthony Giezendanner officiating. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Sharon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Charlotte or The American Cancer Society.
The family wishes to thank the staff of CMC Pineville, Levine Dickson Hospice House for their loving and caring service to Haden and his family, the staff at Regency Assisted Living in Pineville where he resided for the last three years of his life, where he made many friends and was dearly loved by the devoted and caring staff, and a special thanks to Audra Jolly for her final dance just for Haden, to I Can Only Imagine.
