Hattie Mae Vines,also know as Granny, age 99 of Charlotte, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on October 30, 2013. She was bornon October 2, 1914 in Watauga County, N. C.and was the daughter of the late E. F. Vines and Mary Ann Johnson Vines.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, son, Ned Vines (Sheila) of Clover, SC; two daughters, Jo Vines Thomas of Clover, SC, and Linda Vines Hammonds of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 2, 2013 in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Griffin officiating. Visitation will be one hour (1:00-2:00 PM) at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
