Helen Virginia Huber, 94, of Charlotte passed away at her home after a brief illness on Tuesday, December 30 2014. She was born in Greenville, Ohio, on December 27, 1920. Helen graduated from Greenville High School and received her nursing degree from the University of Cincinnati where she met and later married the late Wilson Frederick Huber. Helen is survived by three children: Sharon Ann Meier of Minden, Nevada; Barbara Jeanne Whitaker of Los Alamos, New Mexico; and Thomas Frederick Huber of Kauai, Hawaii. She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m., John Samb officiating, with interment following immediately after in Sharon Memorial Park. She will lie in rest next to her husband.
