Henry, I hurt inside when it hit me you were no longer here to be the steady and dear friend to us.  You are missed.  After over two weeks I still am struck with a profound sadness each time I think of not being able to sit down at your table with coffee and cats.  Your legacy is remarkable.  Heaven's gain is our loss.

Lee and I have been so blessed to know Henry and Janet these past years and we are so saddened at the thought of his  passing... not for Henry, another Mr. Steadfast, but for Janet, the family, and for those of us who are left without his presence in this world.  May God comfort you, dear Janet, now and in the coming days.  We love you.

Henry was always there, steady, soft spoken and never complaining.  If there was anything that needed doing, Henry was not only able, but had the equipment to do it right.  His knowledge of materials characteristics and suitability was encyclopedic, and he could tell you the aviation part number series for any standard part he saw.  Most importantly, Henry was faithful to his Lord, and not only knew his Bible, but also prayed faithfully for the needs of other believers as well as for the salvation of the lost.  He was a firm believer in the Providence of the Lord, which is probably the reason I never saw him lose his temper.  Generous in every way and one who loved the children at church -- always there at the start of Sunday School to sit with the kids while Janet led the singing.  He was a real pal to our grand daughter and she will miss him very much, as we will as well.  What a magnificent thing   God did when he created and then saved Henry!

I always liked visiting aunt Janet and uncle Henry. I remember taking road trips when I was a kid and always chose to ride with uncle Henry and aunt Janet (they always had a bunch of snacks). And I was lucky enough to have him take me on a flight and show me around the area I grew up and live in. I'm really glad he got to meet my kids during his last trip to maryland. During that trip I found out we had more in common than I knew. The love of fabrication and welding. So I'm gonna say to you the last thing you said to me "keep striking those arcs"

Henry Sanders, reborn August 4th, 2015 when he left the land of the dying to enter the land of the living.  I rejoice at his birth and mourn for our loss, especially for his bride Janet and their family.  I will miss his smile at work and all the help he gave me as a newcomer at JAARS.  Just weeks ago while giving devotions at work he told us that he would continue to serve JAARS as long as the Lord gave him the health to do so.  At church, though he was busy with his duties, he always took time to converse with me.  We shared a love for flight and I know he was looking forward to once again share that love with others by flying kids in Air Brigade.  He loved and served our Lord and his fellow man and will be greatly missed.  Those in Christ need never say goodbye, so see you later Henry.  To Janet, I know if Henry had his wish, he would have stayed to see you safely home.  May the same arms that are holding Henry envelope you and give you comfort and peace in this time of loss. Never met a more willing hard worker! I know it was because he just wanted to help others so darn much. He was at his happiest when he could share his talents especially teaching them to those who came his way. One of my great gifts from God was to have been blessed to work shoulder to shoulder with Hank many times over several years. I accept this loss knowing that he will be in heaven pulling for me.

I flew all this week at Brigade Air and thought about you every flight.  I missed you so much at this camp.  This is one of the best bunch of teenagers we have ever had.  You would have had a ball, I did.  I will miss you buddy as will all of your friends here at JAARS.  Love that picture of you.

Janet, I am so sorry to hear about your loss.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Henry has blessed us so much with his humble servant heart here in our JAARS hangar volunteering as a maintenance technician.  His warm smile and giving heart of service will be greatly missed.  We are praying for the family during this difficult adjustment time for God's comfort and peace.

   We are sorry to hear of Henry's passing and will always remember our partnership with Henry in the formative stages of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in California, MD. This was a very special time in our lives. We cherished our friendship and rejoice in knowing Henry is with the Lord.

Henry, the husband of my niece Janet Farley Sanders, was a quiet and unassuming but very talented man.  Whenever, and it was way too infrequent, we were together I marvelled at his abilities and quiet demeanor.  We mourn the loss of Henry and pray for him, Janet, their sons and families and all who came in touch with him over the past 71 years. Was sorry to hear about Henry.  He and Janet raised my wonderful son in law Chris, and I will always be grateful for that.  The last time I saw him he was at my house enjoying his grandchildren.  You could tell he really loved them.  The family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Although we know that Mr. Henry is rejoicing in Heaven with his maker, there's no doubt that he will be greatly missed!  He will especially be missed by our daughter Natalie who enjoyed singing with him during the children's music time on Sunday mornings.  I'm sure she will miss him when she looks back to see if he's "winking" at her from the back of the church.  He has a special place in all of our hearts.  Prayers and blessings to Janet and to his dear family during this time of great sorrow.  We'll see him again one glorious day in our eternal home!

In 2002 Janet and I decided to purchase a new sewing machine at an Expo in Chantilly, Va. We traded our other machines in so Henry flew us outside of Richmond Va.to turn in our tradein's. This was the first time I flew with them so Janet had me sit in the front seat. It took about 45 mins to an hour to get there since we had to go around areas that was restricted at that time. It was such a smooth flight that I fell asleep. Of course they made fun of me and I told them that if Henry was the pilot I felt very safe. They came up to Maryland two Christmas's ago. Henry brought up a part that he manufactured himself to go on Janet and my Long Arm quilting machines and he installed and leveled it out with such percision that the machine would move back and forth with just a tip of your finger. That was the kind of man he was.

Henry was loved very much by his extended family, the Farley's, Epps's and Dotson's. You couldn't have asked for a better and loving Brother-In-Law. Will miss you so much, your Sister-In-Law Carol.
