

Herman Glover, 61, was a devoted family man—a thoughtful husband, a protective father, a dependable brother, a loyal son, and a friend to all who crossed his path. He passed away on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, surrounded by his wife, children, and closest family and friends.
Born in Stamford, Connecticut, on September 11th, 1963, he was the eldest son of the late Herman Glover Sr. and his surviving mother, Katie Glover. He graduated from Rippowam High School in 1980 before enlisting in the military. Upon his return, he met his future wife, Trina Davis, and they started a family together.
The cornerstone of Herman's life was his family. He loved his wife, Trina, tremendously and married her on May 18, 1997. As an active father, he was deeply involved in all aspects of his children's lives, aiming to provide a secure and stable foundation for their happiness. A nature enthusiast, Herman spent his free time outdoors, fishing and appreciating wildlife. He also had a deep passion for sports and music, particularly College sports, and good tunes. In addition to these interests, Herman cherished playing pool, often finding joy and connections while sharing the game with family and friends.
Herman is survived by his wife of 28 years, Trina Glover, and their three children: Kenneth Davis of Charlotte, NC, Herman Glover III of Atlanta, GA, and Keyanna Glover of Charlotte, NC. He also leaves behind one grandchild, Teriyah Glover of Charlotte, NC.
Additionally, Herman is survived by his mother, Katie Glover of Williamston, NC, and his seven siblings: Aileen Jones (Christopher), Regina Glover, and Scott Glover (Leslie), all of Charlotte, NC; Amy Hunter (Ron) of Stamford, CT; Jason Dermody (Jessica) of Athens, GA; John Glover and Shawta Allen of Bridgeport, CT. He is also remembered by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Glover Sr. of Bridgeport, CT; his sister, Lisa Dunmore of Charlotte, NC; and his brother, Donta Michael Allen of Bridgeport, CT.
A service to celebrate Herman's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 17th, in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Service - Pineville Chapel, located at 10500 Park Road. The family will receive friends following the service.
