Hugh was an avid fisherman and a huge sports fan. He loved South Carolina Gamecocks football, Carolina Tarheels Basketball and Atlanta Braves baseball. He worked for American Airlines for 35 years and loved Jesus with all of his heart.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his sister Carol Jean Hilton Robbins and husband David E. Robbins; nephew John Robbins and wife Holly Robbins; niece Anya Robbins, as well as his longtime girlfriend Vickie Beck.
A visitation will be held Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen City Cemetery, 4426 Central Avenue, Charlotte.
