Ina Felister Davenport

Born April 10, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Dick and Delores Felister. Mrs. Davenport is also preceded in death by her husband Walter K. Davenport, brother Jerry Olson and great-granddaughter, Kilah Anne Davenport.

Mrs. Davenport proudly worked at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte NC for over 30 years. Mrs. Davenport held many different roles during her work career at CPCC, which included the Secretary for the Dean of Student Development, and she also worked for many years in the Nursing program.

For 52 years she was a dedicated member of the Friendship Class and Central United Methodist Church. The family will be receiving friends 3:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, August 31 at Central United Methodist Church. The service to celebrate the life of Ina Felister Davenport will follow at 4 PM. With Pastor Santosh officiating. After the service, family and close friends join in the fellowship hall for informal food and fellowship. All would be invited to stay of course.

Survivors include her two sons, Brian Davenport and wife, Leslie; Gary Davenport and wife, Patti; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and sister, Sandy Gilbert, and husband Gary. And many nieces and nephews.
