Ioannis (JD) Datseris of Charlotte, NC passed away on September 16th, 2015 in a motor vehicle accident. Born in Endicott, NY he moved to the Charlotte area in 1995. He is survived by his son Phoenix, his parents Ioannis and Dianne Datseris, brother and sister-in-law Evangelos (Angelo) and Leah Rubertino Datseris as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins in Florida and Greece, and many longtime friends in New York and North Carolina. JD was and always will be remembered for having a zest for life and for being the life of the party.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the McEwen Funeral Home, visitation is scheduled at McEwen (5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte) from 4-7pm Sunday September 20th. Services will be held at Saint Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church in Charlotte on Monday September 20th at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nektarios in memory of Ioannis (JD) Datseris.
