Mrs. Irene Jayne Gardner went home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2017. She was born in Johnson County, KY and attended Western Kentucky University, where she met her husband, Warder W. “Bill” Gardner, Jr.
Irene was a devoted wife and mother and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Susan Gardner; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Gardner, John Gardner and wife, Lauren; and great-grandson, Charlie Gardner. She was predeceased by her husband and son, Bill, as well as six brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Gardner was a member of Calvary Church, where visitation will be held on Saturday, July 29 from 11-12 noon in the Rea Road Room. A graveside service will follow at Sharon Memorial Park at 2:30 pm.
