Isabelle Henry Cottier

She was born August 29, 1918 in Gastonia, daughter of the late Leonard Orr Henry Sr. and Lucy Rebecca Oakley Henry.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Alton “Al” J. Cottier and brother, Leonard “Sonny” Orr Henry Jr.

Isabelle retired after a long career with Southern Bell and continued to keep in touch throughout the years with her fellow associates. She will be remember for her kindness and generosity.

Surviving are her nephews, Leonard “Mick” Orr Henry, III and wife Jo Anne of Lexington, SC, and John Patrick Henry of St. Petersburg, Fla.; niece, Ann Marie Parnelle and husband Dick of Allendale, S.C.; cousin, Lisa Michaels and husband Dan of Gastonia; and numerous other loving family members.

The family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Shirley Welch for her wonderful care of Isabelle over the years.
