Jim was born on September 10th, 1933, in Erie, PA to John P. and Harriet (Arters) Falcone. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, he lived a rich and fulfilling life prioritizing unconditional love for his family.
Jim spent his early years in Erie where he attended Strong Vincent High School. He participated in the school's Italian Club where his future wife, Jackie was also a club member. Following graduation, he proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received several accolades. Returning from the war, Jim graduated from Gannon University. With his accomplished credentials, he resumed his employment with Erie Press Systems which began prior to his deployment and became the Director of Finance, where he remained until his retirement. As fate would have it, Erie Press was also where he and Jackie crossed paths again.
Jim loved life and loved making everyone around him happy. He loved the game of golf whether it was playing the courses, following tournaments or chipping off in the backyard. Jim also knew every card and dice game invented and even created some of his own. He played handball and slow pitch in Erie and later organized poker and billiard games in North Carolina.
Up until February of 2025 he weekly met "the guys" for breakfast in Indian Trail.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his dear daughter Carren (Falcone) Cerami, his brothers John R. Falcone and Fred Arters, and his daughter Ann Marie Yezzi.
Jim is survived by, in his own words, "the love of my life and my very best friend", Jacqueline (Chaffee) Falcone, whom he married in September of 1982. Jim and Jackie lit up the dance floor at every event and attended live performances of Frank Sinatra and Luciano Pavarotti.
Also surviving Jim is his daughter Christine (Falcone) Capotis and husband Michael of Erie, Pa, son James Falcone, Jr of Orlando, FL, Stephen Yezzi and wife Sherry of Erie, PA, Amy ( Yezzi) Gorman and husband Seth of Mill Spring, NC, and David Yezzi and wife Diane of Wattsburg, PA.
