He was born in Wadesboro, NC and was the son of the late Robert and Jeanelle Kendall.
James was a loving son and brother. He was a truly wonderful person who had a biting wit and a great sense of humor.
He attended Wingate College and later graduated from Richmond Technical Institute, where he was valedictorian of his graduating class. He retired from Premier Inc. of San Diego CA as a computer programmer, data analyst and consultant.
Hobbies he enjoyed were American and European history, electronics and computer programming.
He is survived by sisters, Roberta Bullock of Albemarle, NC, Tonita Nolker and husband, Wally of Poquoson, VA, and a very dear friend, William Jetton of Charlotte.
