Born August 26, 1931 in Stanfield, NC, Jim was the son of the late Mumford Jonah Love and Bertha May Wallace Love. Mr. Love was a devoted spouse and loving father and grandfather. He was employed with Union Carbide Corporation for almost 30 years and was an accomplished machinist, metal worker and manager.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara (Sue) Spoon and her husband Tracey Spoon of Ellijay, GA; seven grandchildren Jim Davidson, Michael Davidson, Steven Davidson, David Davidson, Matthew Spoon, Shannon Kelley and Brandon Spoon and ten great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Love was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Love and daughter, Carolyn Patricia Davidson and two siblings.
A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will gather for a celebration of Mr. Love's life at a later time, to be determined.
