

Jasmin (Jazz, Cot) Mayo Bogucki was born into this life to be with us on August 7, 1990 and was born into the next life to be with the Lord on October 15, 2016 {unexpectedly and peacefully} in Charlotte, North Carolina at the age of 26. Jasmin was married to Thomas Thaddeus Bogucki on November 20, 2014 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Jasmin is survived by her husband, Thomas Thaddeus Bogucki; her parents Maceo Mayo III and Florindra McClure Mayo; her in-laws Ted and Mira Bogucki; her brothers Maceo Mayo IV and Michael Jay Mayo; her sisters DoLoris Yvonne Mayo, Vanessa Huertas Mayo, Sharae Price and Jessica Plumey; and her grandfather Maceo Mayo Jr. of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. She is also survived by her 7 lovely nieces and nephews (Davonte, Davion, Kendall, Nalani, Jania, Cinco, and Maleah) and by a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Eddie Mack McClure Sr. and Doloris T. Haskett of Charlotte, North Carolina and Yvonne Mayo of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
Jasmin graduated from South Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte in 2008 and attended North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro, North Carolina to pursue a degree in nursing. Jasmin was a music lover who explored all music genres to satisfy her musical appetite. Her melodic voice could be heard throughout her parents’ house when she would have her impromptu private concerts in her room. She would often share the stage with her sister and best friend DoLoris Mayo (affectionately known as BāBā). She was a humanitarian who advocated for the “least of these” with an unparalleled fervor. Jasmin loved her family, friends, and her husband, Thomas, unconditionally. Jasmin will be missed and always loved and never forgotten.
A memorial celebration service is scheduled for Friday, October 21 at McEwen Funeral Service Pineville Chapel 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, North Carolina at 3:30 p.m. with the repast to follow at Christ Resurrection Church at 4527 Freedom Drive Charlotte, North Carolina 28208 at 5:30pm. Frank McClure (uncle) will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jasmin’s life. Flowers and condolences may be sent to the McEwen Funeral Service.
