

Jean-Tyler Campbell Elliott, 83, of Charlotte went home to be with the Lord on March 21, 2016. Jean-Tyler was born February 25, 1933 in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late John Wesley and Francis Tyler Campbell. After graduating from McIntire High School at almost 17 years of age she completed Business School. She met her future husband, Bill Elliott, October 1, 1950 at a college youth group of University Baptist Church. Bill and Jean-Tyler were married on August 31, 1951 and settled in Charlottesville, Va until Bill enlisted in the Air Force in 1953.
Jean-Tyler and Bill moved to Richmond, Va in 1959 when Bill enrolled in the Pharmacy School at the Medical College of Virginia. Upon Bill's graduation they lived in Waynesboro, Va and in 1966 they moved to Chesterfield, Va where they raised their 2 daughters.
In 1985 the family moved to Charlotte, NC and Jean-Tyler started a 25 year career in Banking at NCNB (later Bank of America) where she retired. Soon after retiring she became the Executive Assistant to Irwin Belk where she worked for 10 years.
Jean-Tyler is predeceased by her son and her grandson Robert Eugene Brinson, Jr; brother-in-law, Jim Garrett; niece, Duane Garrett; nephew, Wes Garrett.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ernest William (Bill) Elliott, Jr; two daughters, Billie-Jean Elliott and Sarah Jane Elliott-Ohlson; grand-dog, Captain Morgan Elliott; sister, Josephine Campbell Garrett; the wife of the late Wes Garrett, Mavis Whittle Garrett and their children, Tyler Garrett, Delaney Garrett and Melanie Garrett.
