Jennie Leona Cribb

Miss Cribb, 85, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Friday evening, November 2, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital – Matthews.

She was born Christmas day, December 25, 1926 in Columbus County, North Carolina, the second of twelve children, to the late Boyd Lee Cribb, Sr. and Lola Cartrette Cribb. Miss Cribb worked a Chadbourn Hosiery Mill and retired from First Union National Bank in Charlotte and was a faithful member of the Monroe Church of Christ.

The Cribb family will gather to meet friends 10:00 AM, Monday, November 5, 2012 at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon. A service to celebrate her life will follow at 11:00 AM in the Chapel with Monroe Church of Christ Minister Jim Pharr, officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.

Miss Cribb is survived by two brothers and three sisters: Rudy Cribb and wife, Lee of Charlotte, NC; Boyd L. Cribb and wife, Jean of Lithia Springs, GA; Peggy Williams of Indian Trail, NC; Linda Shuman Chambers and husband, Ed of Greenville, NC and Alwilda Merritt and husband, Roger of Montclair, VA. In addition to her parents, Miss Cribb was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers: Daphna Cribb, Margaret Cribb Gordon, Lola Gale Weaver, Bernard Cribb, Paul Cribb and Donald Cribb.
