Joan Lind Wells, 87, of Charlotte passed away on December 19, 2012. She was born March 27, 1925 in Elizabeth, NJ to Norman and Margaret Friedhoff Lind. Joan was a graduate of Cornell University New York Hospital School of Nursing. After retirement from her nursing career, she was an active volunteer at Carolinas Medical Center – Pineville. She also enjoyed playing bridge, Sudoku and knitting, but most of all she loved her family.
She is survived by her three children; Lynn Clark, of Charlotte; Lisa (Rick) Campbell of Myrtle Beach, SC and Doug (Nancy) Wells of Darien, CT and six grandchildren; Stephanie (Louis) Nickerson, Graham (Laura) Campbell and Taylor, Doug Jr., Maggie and Jack Wells.
A memorial service will be held at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte at 1:00 Saturday December 22.
