John was born April 7, 1927 in West Point, Mississippi and served in the US Navy during World War II. He was employed by Western Electric for 31 years after which he started his own company, Now Couriers. John is preceded in death by his wife Helen, daughter Cynthia and four siblings.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Dianna Furr and her husband, Mack. Other survivors include his grandsons John Furr (Heidi), Scott Furr (Dana) and great-grandson Nicholas and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was a huge Alabama Football fan (Roll Tide). He will be greatly missed. There will be a private graveside service on Friday, April 29th and a Celebration of Life at a later date.
