Joseph Thomas Altobellis

Joseph Thomas Altobellis, 35, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016. He was born in Charlotte, NC on January 12, 1981 to Thomas and Lucy Altobellis. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jimmie and Doris Walton and Joseph and Anne Altobellis.

Joe is survived by his parents, his son Miles Altobellis, his aunt Linda Altobellis, and his girlfriend Melanie Fisher. He is also survived by his aunt Ammy Dunlap, uncle Edd Dunlap, and cousins Graham and Aaron Dunlap, and Miles' mother Ashley Glunt.

Joe loved being Miles' dad and cherished each moment they were together. They especially loved disc golf, fishing, bike rides, their dog Buddy, and just hanging out together. Joe was proud of Miles, loved him very much, and will forever watch over him from heaven.

Joe was loyal, fearless, tender hearted, hardworking, and fun loving. His friends were very important to him and he was always there for them in good times and bad. Joe enjoyed the outdoors and the time he spent fishing, camping, golfing, bow hunting, 4-wheeling, and hiking. He worked for Melaragno Design Building, Inc. and Phafl Builders over the past 13 years. He took great pride in his craft and was a skilled carpenter.

A celebration of Joe's life will be held at McEwen Pineville Chapel on Thursday, July 21, at 3:00 pm.
