Please accept my condolences to Judy’s wonderful family. I am also deeply grateful for your generosity in requesting donations be made to the Charlotte Lung Cancer Group. Jo and I have known Jim and Judy since about 1983.  I worked for Jim for many years, in Charlotte and in Portland, until Jim’s retirement at Freightliner.  Judy was a good friend of Jo’s over these nearly 20 years.  We hold many fond memories that were developed, at work and socially,  during this time.

As a co-worker and colleague of Jim's for more than half a century, it's hard to say farewell to Judy and the marriage they had for such a long and loving time.  In all those years, my 53+ year wife Susan and I only managed to spend time together once with Jim and Judy...but, oh what a time it was!  We will always remember that great weekend at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC.  It was work-related, as usual, but far beyond work in the personal bonds that Judy and Susan found as the largely happy work-widows that both were to their life-long trucking industry workaholic husbands.  Hard to imagine Jim without Judy and our sympathy is far less than adequate to address her passing.  All we can and will do is to hold Jim and family "In the Light" during this difficult time.

From a bumper sticker I received from Judy in the 70’s from where she worked that said ‘I can be Casually Cornered’ to stories of her taking showers with Casey, her Parrot to singing along with the DJ at Patios in Little River to watching episodes of Judge Judy on TV, we will remember Judy as the voice of reason, logic and (always) exquisite taste. We will dearly miss you, Judy, but you are now free to visit any warm and sunny beach that you wish. Our condolences to Jim and the family. She will be greatly missed but will always be in our memories.

Roger and I knew Judy through visits with her by the pool at our beach place in Cherry Grove.  She was always so very sweet and friendly.  Always a smile on her face .....she enjoyed being in the sunshine.... I am sure she will be missed so much!

We shared so many memories when Judy worked at Johnies dress shop and I worked at the drug store across the street. Our then husbands were good friends and we became good friends also. Many memories together. Will miss you.

I’m so sorry to learn of Judy’s passing.  Jim and Judy were our next door neighbors in West Linn, OR.   Judy dealt with Oregon’s gray skies by calling a peak of blue among the gray a “sucker hole”!   So many great memories, love and condolences to Jim and family.

Judy was my dearest friend even though we were separated by the miles between us from Oregon to North Carolina.  She was so sincere and a true friend. She will be missed but I can just see her in heaven smiling and walking being able to breath and laugh without pain. Thank you Judy for being such a great friend. We will all miss you.

We only met Judy 7 years ago, but in that time we found out that she was a wonderful wife, mother and great friend. We’re glad to know that now she’s in heaven and dancing with the angels with nothing holding her back!

Met Judy and Jim in North Myrtle Beach a few years ago.  enjoyed our trips to The Patio.   Judy was such a grand woman.  Her laugh was contagious.  Debbie and I will surely miss her.  Jim, you and your family are in our prayers.
