Judy Jones Parks

Born on August 2, 1940, Judy was the beloved daughter of the late John Darby Jones and Corrie Marie Turner Jones. She dedicated her life to serving others, earning her Nursing Degree from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1961. Judy furthered her education, obtaining her Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York Utica Rome in 1984, and later her Master’s degree from Syracuse University in 1997. She worked as a mental health nurse for many years, passionately assisting those in need until her retirement in 2015.

Judy cherished life at every stage and held dear the beautiful memories created during her early years with her late husband, Earl Lee Parks, Sr., and during the joyous arrivals of her beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Earl, who passed away in 2010, and her grandson, Connor Alexander Parks, in 2000.

Judy is survived by her two children, Susan Parks Craker and Earl Lee Parks, Jr. (Patricia); her sister, Janice Parks; and her grandchildren, Ivey Brooke Parks and Bailey Alexa Parks.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, located at 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte. Rev. Ron Helms will officiate the service. The family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
