Charlotte-Julie Malcolm Williams, age 52, died Monday, December 16, 2013, at CMC-Northeast in Concord. A native of Charlotte, she was born on November 14, 1961 to Linda Jo Byrd Ashley and the late Donald Ray Ashley. Julie was a waitress at R & R Barbeque in Concord and was a Kyle Busch NASCAR fan.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2013, at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park with Rev. Robin Sipe officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, Thursday, December 19, 2013, and at other times at the home of Jennifer McDonald.
Julie is survived by her husband of eleven years, Frank Williams; two daughters, Jennifer McDonald and husband Scottie, of Concord, Kristi Malcolm and boyfriend Bobby Rolland, of new Smyrna, FL; a brother, Ray Ashley and wife Tina, of Charlotte; a sister, Diane Craig and husband Joe, of Charlotte and five grandchildren, Dylan McDonald, Brooke McDonald, Robert McDonald, Grace McDonald, all of Concord, Blake Ponce, of Huntersville.
