Kathryn Ann Plummer

Kathryn was born in Mecklenburg County on December 2, 1931, to the late Horace Doster House and Kathryn McGuirt House. She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy House, brothers Horace Jr. and Donald House, husband Billy Darrell Plummer, and son Darrell Scott Plummer. She is survived by her daughter, Carmen Plummer, granddaughter Brianna Barker (Cody), and various nieces and nephews.

Kathryn graduated from East Mecklenburg High School. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She attended Crossroads UMC and sang in the choir. She retired from the Cabarrus County School system where she was a teacher assistant and bus driver.

Kathryn enjoyed flowers, hummingbirds, traveling, and collecting angel figurines. She especially enjoyed her beloved pets, and visits from her great nephew Ronald Whitley Jr. and her niece Sharron and husband Carl Goldfarb.

There will be a private memorial service before inurnment in the mausoleum at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to her caregivers and hospice nurses for their exceptional care.
