Kelly Vontaine Webb

Kelly Vontaine Webb, 62, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025. Born December 23, 1962, she was the daughter of Linda (Kelly) Braswell and the late Edward Liston Smith. She was the wife of the late James Perry Webb.

She was a graduate of Charlotte Mecklenburg County Schools; where she was a cheerleader, played basketball and participated in numerous school activities. Kelly went on to further her education in accounting; receiving a diploma in tax preparation from Webtax Service, where her husband was president of the company.

Kelly was a true homemaker that enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and taking care of her boys. She also enjoyed trips to the beach with her family, traveling, watching sports, decorating for the holidays and hosting events at her home.

Survivors include her son, Brandon Cody Webb; mother, Linda Braswell; grandchildren, Katie Ruth Webb and Brayden Webb; sister, Tracy (Steven) Delguidice; aunt, Sheila Ivey; sister-in-law, Pamela Webb; nieces and nephews, Linda Hollar, Nicholas Delguidice, Lori, Jeff, Jared Miller, Sonja Moore, Billy and Mark West, Tonya, Johnny and Tiffany Conner, Christy and JP Mashburn and Raven Moore; along with numerous cousins and friends.

In addition to her husband and father, Kelly was preceded in death by her son, Paul Edward Webb and her step-father, James Michael Braswell.

A visitation will be held on November 22, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at McEwen Funerals & Cremations at Forest Lawn West, located at 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Condolences may be submitted at www.forestlawnwest.com.
