Kenneth A. Bloch Sr.

Ken was born on January 11th, 1947, in Newton, Massachusetts to William A. Bloch, Sr. and Emma Hartwig Bloch. He spent his formative years in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts. He went on to attend Wellesley High School where he excelled in academics and hockey. From there, he went on to play hockey at Norwich University in Vermont and proudly graduated with the class of 1969.

He later entered the insurance industry with Liberty Mutual in 1969. He then spent 25 years with Paul Revere Insurance until 1996 when he opened his own disability insurance agency. He was later joined by his two sons to make it a true family endeavor. Professionally he was known to all as a true gentleman and someone who listened more than he spoke.

More than anything he was a devoted father and husband, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and friends. In his free time, he was an avid golfer and member of Cedarwood Country Club. He passed on his love for the game to his two sons, and his grandchildren.

Ken is survived by his best friend and loving wife Anne Marie Bloch, brother William A. Bloch, Jr., sons Kenneth A. Bloch, Jr, his wife Candace and daughter Stella and Matthew M. Bloch, his wife Mary and son Patrick.

He was preceded in death by his parents William A. Bloch, Sr. and Emma Bloch and sister Linda Samoraj.

His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday August 21st, 2025 from 4-7pm at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel located at 10500 Park Road in Charlotte, NC.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, August 22nd, 2025 at St. Ann Catholic Church located at 3635 Park Road in Charlotte, NC.
