Kevin E. Adams

He was born in Norfolk VA, February 8, 1962, to the late Steve and Mary Adams. After graduating from Leilehua High School in Wahiawa, HI, Kevin joined the US Army. He had a long career in the military. Following his last three deployments to Iraq, he retired with 30 years of service in 2010.

Kevin spent many years of employment with Lance/Campbell Co.

Pineville United Methodist Church is where Kevin worshipped. Before his illness he was active with the Methodist Men and loved to cook with the group for any function.

Kevin’s family was his top priority. He was a loving and devoted husband to the former Ruth McDevitt. The two met in Knoxville, TN, 1990. His children were his pride and joy. Nothing made him happier than being with Mary Kelton Adams (Pineville, NC), Jacob McDevitt Adams (Louisville, KY), and Cassandra Lee Adams (Pineville, NC). His goal was to make sure they were ready for the world, but he was always ready to step in and help when needed.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth McDevitt Adams, of 34 years. His three children, Mary Kelton, Jacob and Casey Adams. His brothers Steven Adams, Bill Adams (Maria Kitromelis), Ken Adams (Dr Deb Cooper), and Carl Adams. His sister Betsy Adams Underwood (Greg Underwood),

A service to celebrate Kevin’s life will be held at Pineville United Methodist Church on Wednesday,

September 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
