Larry Warren Godfrey, age 71, of Salisbury, formerly of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. Born January 16, 1952 in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of Henry W. and Myrtle G. (Stikeleather) Godfrey.
A graduate of West Mecklenburg High School, he was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Charlotte.
He loved spreading the Gospel of Jesus by handing out Gospel Tracks to any and everyone he met. He also enjoyed good fellowship with family and friends, walking the streets of Charlotte and sightseeing on the city bus.
Survivors include his sons, Israel Godfrey, Marcus (Deanna) Godfrey and Justin (Cherie) Godfrey; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many friends and people who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
