Dec 20th 1934 – March 29th 2015
Former United States Marine, New York City Police Officer, New York City Fire Fighter and Registered Nurse Lawrence Harold Doyle passed into eternal life March 29, 2015 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Brooklyn, NY to Elsie May Abner and spent much of his life in New York and later in Charlotte, North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary; his daughter, Katie; his son, Larry and his wife Jessica along with two grandchildren, Claire and Lydia. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Maureen in 1959, and his mother, Elsie in 1992.
Larry was a warm, kind and compassionate man who dedicated his life to assisting others. He served his God, his nation and his fellow man and will be sincerely missed by all that knew him.
His family will receive friends April 16, 2015, from 6-8PM at the McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. His memorial mass will be celebrated April 17, 2015 at 11AM in the St. Matthew Catholic Church Chapel.
