It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Lee. He was a truly remarkable Dutch man, who left this world at home on July 1st, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Lee and his family immigrated to the US in 1952 and he was so proud to become an American citizen . Lee was the embodiment of kindness, sincerity and warmth. He had a natural way of making everyone feel at ease — his candid spirit and genuine smile lit up every room he entered. Lee loved watching his European football and sharing his knowledge of the game.
To know him was to be touched by his sweetness and his unshakable goodness. He carried himself with a quiet strength and a thoughtful heart. Whether through a kind word, a gentle joke or a helping hand, Lee always found a way to bring comfort and joy to those around him.
As we say goodbye, we carry forward the memory of a man who loved purely, lived sincerely and gave endlessly to those he was with and loved. In a world that often rushes past, he reminded us of the beauty in staying present and being kind.
A celebration of Lee’s life will occur in all of the family and friends’ lives who he touched. All are welcome to join in honoring his memory by spending some part of their day in his spirit. He will be deeply missed.
Lee is predeceased by his wife Ann Judson Van Rossum, his sister Gudula Van Rossum and brother Reiner Van Rossum. He is survived by his stepchildren - Kim Bolt-Davidson, Will Bolt, Mark Bolt and his biological children - Rita Cantey, Bob Van Rossum, Larry Van Rossum and 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, nieces and all those individuals whose lives he so effortlessly brightened.
