Leon "Lee" Daniel HELMS Jr.

Leon “Lee” D. Helms Jr., 55, of Stanley, passed away October 6, 2021 in his home. Born July 9, 1966 in Charlotte, he was the son of Leon D. & Ruth A. (Wyatt) Helms Sr. He was a graduate of Harding High School, Class of ’85. Lee enjoyed target shooting, traveling and spending time with his family. Survivors include his parents, Leon and Ruth Helms; sister, Deb Helms; grandmother, Anna Helms; aunts, Faye Trammell, Jean Todd, Evelyn Rippy, and Cathy Wyatt; uncles, Gary Helms, Otis Wyatt and John Wyatt; numerous cousins. A Celebration of Lee’s life will take place 11 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Trinity Assembly of God, 307 White Jenkins Road, Bessemer City, NC.
